Certain medicines have some side effects
Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors produce dry hacking cough in some patients
Beta blockers like propanolol,atenolol can cause bradycardia & may prove harmful in patients with heart blocks
Calcium channel blocker drugs like nifedipine(depin) should not be given sublingually in cases of very high BP as it causes sudden fall in BP which is not desirable.Give this drug orally
Ramipril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor prescribed for Hypertension -High blood pressure. Other angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors are -
1. Lisinopril
2. Enalapril ( Brand name- envas)
